Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Database Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration from self-managed SQL Server on EC2 to AWS RDS
• Drive database cost optimization and mentor the existing SQL DBA team on AWS operations
• Establish cloud-native database monitoring and implement automated backup and recovery processes

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in database administration
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) and AWS RDS (SQL Server)
• Experience with database migration projects and backup/restore strategies
• Proficiency in T-SQL and query optimization
• Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2)
