Job Summary

Leading the reliability and performance of database infrastructure, the full-time Senior Database Administrator will manage production databases in a remote role, focusing on optimizing PostgreSQL and Snowflake systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data security and availability.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimize production databases hosted in AWS, including PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions while monitoring database performance
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance database access patterns and support application scalability

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience administering production database environments
• 3+ years of experience managing databases in AWS
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL administration, tuning, and optimization
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses, ideally Snowflake
• Deep understanding of database performance tuning and high-availability architectures
