Senior Database Administrator
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Database Administrator with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and AWS Aurora, who will manage the design, administration, and optimization of SQL Server environments on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and compliance with HIPAA/HITECH regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases on AWS EC2 and Amazon Aurora
- Architect and manage high-availability SQL Server environments and disaster recovery solutions
- Monitor and tune database performance while ensuring compliance with HIPAA/HITECH requirements
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong expertise with SQL Server 2016-2022 and MySQL 8.0-8.4 or later
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Aurora (MySQL-compatible) and/or RDS MySQL
- Deep knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery architectures for SQL Server and cloud-managed databases
- Experience supporting HIPAA/HITECH-regulated systems
