Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support a dynamic team in the digital solutions industry, the remote Senior Database Administrator will administer and optimize Azure SQL Managed Instance environments, manage high availability solutions, and monitor database performance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Azure SQL Managed Instance environments, including high availability and disaster recovery configurations
• Manage SQL listeners and Always On availability groups supporting internal applications
• Oversee backup, restore, and point-in-time recovery procedures to meet RPO/RTO objectives

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of database administration experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Managed Instance
• Strong experience with the broader Azure ecosystem, including Blob Storage and security configuration
• Proven experience managing high-availability solutions such as Always On availability groups
• Experience administering SFTP-based data exchange with external parties
