Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support database management efforts, the full-time Senior Database Administrator will oversee the performance and security of multiple database technologies, develop task automation using CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with teams to implement effective database solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems, ensuring optimal performance and security
• Develop and implement task automation strategies to streamline routine DBA tasks and improve operational efficiency
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate defect resolution to maintain high availability of database systems

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of hands-on experience as a senior system DBA with SQL Server technologies
• 5+ years of experience supporting a secondary database technology such as Sybase Server or MySQL
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing task automation using CI/CD tools and pipelines
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with agile methodologies, including proficiency in using Jira for project management
