Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Database Administrator will architect and optimize database ecosystems, lead high-availability and cross-system integration, and drive design and modeling efforts while ensuring database security and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, standardize, and implement enterprise-grade database configurations and performance tuning across multi-platform environments
• Engineer scalable data and application architectures that integrate complex systems, ensuring maximum uptime and minimal latency
• Facilitate technical design sessions and execute ecosystem gap analyses with cross-functional teams, translating business needs into data models

Required qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, OR Associate's/Bachelor's degree, OR 4 years of applicable job-specific experience
• Advanced proficiency in networking topology and infrastructure design, including familiarity with TCP/IP protocols and secure load balancing
• Proven track record of managing competing priorities across enterprise-scale migration or deployment projects
• Experience implementing automated scripting for database maintenance and monitoring
