Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

Driving the development and improvement of database capabilities, the full-time remote Senior Database Administrator will manage the entire database product lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and establish engineering standards while mentoring other engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to develop and integrate high-quality database products
• Manage all technical aspects of the database product lifecycle, including code, infrastructure, data, and security
• Establish and promote database engineering and software development standards while mentoring team members

Required qualifications

• Ability to transform complex distributed systems into highly available and user-friendly products
• Experience in development, infrastructure operations, and infrastructure security
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and techniques
• In-depth experience with deploying and supporting database technologies such as Oracle, MSSQL, and MySQL
• Knowledge of continuous integration, continuous deployment, and test-driven development practices
