Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

Taking ownership of the database environment, the full-time Senior Database Administrator will manage and maintain production and development databases, design innovative database solutions, and support the modernization of the payment processing platform in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, install, configure, and maintain database systems while ensuring availability and recoverability meet established SLAs
• Design and implement database security, support data pipeline automation, and assist development teams with database query optimization
• Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and make rapid, independent judgments to support business-critical systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related engineering field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting databases in an enterprise environment, with significant experience in PostgreSQL
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL version 15.x and MS SQL Server 2019/2022
• Proven experience with AWS technologies, including Postgres RDS and EC2
• Experience with database high availability and replication technologies
