Senior Database Administrator
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to manage and optimize database systems in Microsoft Azure, this full-time remote position will focus on database design, performance tuning, and security while collaborating with development and infrastructure teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the lifecycle of development, staging, and production database systems, ensuring reliability and performance
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies to protect data integrity and availability
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Database Management, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator in a senior role
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL databases
- Advanced knowledge of database performance optimization and security principles
- Familiarity with cloud-based database services, particularly Microsoft Azure
