Senior Database Administrator
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Senior Database Administrator will design, implement, and maintain highly available database solutions while leading database development and optimization initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable database solutions across various platforms such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle
- Plan and execute database migrations, ensuring minimal downtime during transitions to cloud environments like AWS
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams, overseeing database automation and performance tuning efforts
Required qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in database development and administration
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar RDBMS platforms
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud database services, particularly Amazon RDS and Aurora
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
