Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end health and performance of database environments, the full-time Senior Database Administrator will ensure stability and security across SQL Server platforms, proactively monitor systems, and collaborate with engineering teams in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the reliability and performance of database environments through monitoring, maintenance, and observability
• Respond to database alerts and escalations, conducting root-cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions
• Lead database performance tuning initiatives and collaborate with teams to support scalable deployments and optimization

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of experience supporting SQL Server and/or MySQL databases in production environments
• Strong expertise in database monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Experience supporting high-availability and disaster recovery configurations
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
