Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

To ensure optimal database performance and security, the full-time Senior Database Administrator will design, implement, and maintain databases remotely, while managing complex installations, upgrades, and daily administration tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Implement database designs and perform installations of clustered and high-availability environments, coordinating user acceptance testing for new installations
• Develop techniques to prevent system issues, troubleshoot incidents, and support root cause analysis
• Provide project management support for technical aspects of project release upgrades, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to project life cycles

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• 5 years of experience in full data management duties, including migration and continuous integration/delivery
• Knowledge of Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server, and similar databases
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI for report and data solution development
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and guide less experienced staff
