Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

Responsible for building, managing, and optimizing databases, the full-time remote Senior Database Administrator will establish best practices, ensure data availability, and drive performance to support mission-critical business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and implementing scalable database architecture solutions for the SaaS platform
• Leading database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting initiatives
• Collaborating with software development and DevOps teams to enhance database queries and automate administration tasks

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience managing databases at scale
• Experience in a SaaS environment with high-availability requirements
• Strong knowledge of OLTP databases, specifically PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and query optimization
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (Bash, Python, or similar)
