Senior Database Administrator
Job Summary
Seeking a remote Senior Database Administrator, the full-time position will manage enterprise Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database environments, lead migrations to AWS, and mentor junior DBAs while ensuring performance, security, and availability of production databases.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert-level administration and performance tuning for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database environments
- Lead the design, deployment, and support of highly available database architectures
- Oversee the migration of on-premises databases to AWS as part of the modernization program
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Database Administrator in enterprise-scale environments
- Expert-level experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle database platforms
- Demonstrated experience in leading enterprise database deployments, upgrades, or migrations
- Hands-on experience with database high availability and disaster recovery architectures
