Senior Database Administrator
Job Summary
To support a growing enterprise, the remote Senior Database Administrator will manage and maintain critical database platforms across AWS and hybrid environments, focusing on IBM Db2, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL while leading a DBA team and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support enterprise database platforms in AWS and hybrid environments
- Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations
- Lead and mentor DBA team members, setting priorities and coordinating work
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Extensive hands-on DBA experience in complex enterprise environments
- Expert level experience with IBM Db2, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL administration
- Strong knowledge of AWS Relational Database Service (RDS) and relational database management systems
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring database professionals
