Senior Database Administrator
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Database Administrator, the remote position will manage enterprise relational databases in AWS and hybrid environments, focusing on IBM Db2, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL while leading a DBA team and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and support enterprise database platforms across AWS and hybrid environments
- Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning
- Troubleshoot complex database incidents and implement preventive actions to reduce recurring issues
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive hands-on DBA experience in complex enterprise environments
- Expert level experience with IBM Db2, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and AWS RDS
- Strong knowledge of relational database management systems and performance tuning
- Experience with backup, recovery, replication, and high availability processes
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred
