Senior Database Administrator
Job Summary
To support a high-traffic public-facing digital environment, the full-time Senior Database Administrator will manage and optimize a multi-platform database ecosystem, including MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server, while working remotely to ensure data integrity, security, and performance across various database operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, monitor, and optimize database systems supporting a high-traffic digital platform
- Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery capabilities to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with stakeholders on releases, upgrades, and migrations while protecting data integrity
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 10+ years of experience in database administration or operations
- Hands-on experience with MySQL and Oracle, including performance tuning and backup/recovery
- Experience administering databases in Linux or UNIX environments
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex database performance and security issues independently
