Senior Database Administrator
Job Summary
Supporting an upcoming federal program, the remote Senior Database Administrator will manage the Oracle database tier for the NCFMS, ensuring its health, performance, security, and recoverability while resolving escalated production database issues.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Oracle RDBMS, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning
- Execute backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and compliance with disaster recovery requirements
- Produce written client deliverables, including system status reports and compliance metrics
Required qualifications
- 9 years of progressive database administration experience, with at least 6 years focused on Oracle E-Business Suite in a production environment
- Experience with NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 and DISA STIGs for database hardening
- Proficiency in managing multi-instance lifecycles across various environments
- Knowledge of federal financial systems and related database interfaces
- Automation and scripting skills for monitoring and change migration processes
