Senior Database Administrator MySQL

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Database Administrator (MySQL) for their Cloud Platforms department.

Responsibilities:

• Review service-related reports on a daily basis to identify and resolve issues within established SLAs
• Respond to database related alerts and escalations, working with database engineering to find strategic solutions
• Develop ongoing assessments of database performance, identify problem areas, and enforce a security scheme for the database environment

Qualifications:

• BE or BS Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field
• 5-10 years of IT operation experience with strong understanding of database structures and principles
• Minimum 6 years of Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL experience as a DBA or Developer
• Proficiency in SQL Query Tuning and Slow Query Optimizations
• Experience with High Availability (Always On/Log Shipping) and Linux
