Senior Database Analyst

Job Summary

To enhance data infrastructure, the full-time Senior Database Analyst will stabilize and optimize a legacy SQL Server environment while designing a modern platform using PostgreSQL and ClickHouse on AWS, all in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and remediate performance issues in the legacy SQL Server environment, ensuring stability and maintainability
• Design and implement PostgreSQL schemas and ClickHouse structures for a new multi-phase platform
• Optimize queries and guide engineers on database best practices while leading incident response for database-related issues

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in database analysis and engineering with ownership of production systems
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including query optimization and indexing strategies
• Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience with columnar/OLAP databases, preferably ClickHouse
• Cloud experience with both Azure and AWS for managing legacy and modern database environments
• Proven ability to design and operate systems that scale into billions of rows of data
