Senior Database Consultant

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Senior Database Consultant will provide comprehensive support for database and application infrastructure, including coordination, analysis, design, implementation, and administration of database solutions for various clients.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer database solutions, ensuring optimal server configuration and maintenance
• Analyze customer infrastructure and processes, recommending best practices for operational improvements and uptime
• Oversee backup procedures and disaster recovery plans, proactively monitoring systems to prevent incidents

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a Database Reliability Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or production Database Administrator role
• Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming with Python or Go, including experience with the Django framework
• Hands-on experience with AWS for designing and managing scalable infrastructure
• Deep understanding of automation principles using Terraform and Bash scripting
• Practical experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and GKE
