Senior Database Developer

Job Summary

Leading a Database Development Team, the full-time Senior Database Developer will support the NIWC - US Navy customer by developing and maintaining database systems, collaborating with application developers, and ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development efforts and provide guidance to Application Developers
• Assist with schema design, code reviews, and SQL query tuning
• Proactively recommend system improvements and oversee the work of less experienced developers

Required qualifications

• US Citizenship and an active DOD Secret Clearance
• Level 1 or higher IAT Certification (e.g., A+ CE, Security+, Network+ CE)
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science with a minimum of 10 years of database development experience
• Experience with development tools such as SSMS, SQL Developer, and Jira
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work remotely without distractions
