Senior Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Database Engineer to design and maintain reliable database systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure database structures maintain data integrity, performance, security, and ease of maintenance
• Optimize and maintain legacy database systems while monitoring performance and conducting regular tuning
• Collaborate with developers and users to gather requirements, diagnose issues, and implement improvements

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or a relevant field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Database developer/administrator
• Experience with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL and developing database applications in an AWS environment
• Hands-on experience with SQL and PL/pgSQL, including developing stored procedures and functions
• In-depth understanding of data management, including permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring
