Senior Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Database Infrastructure Engineer specializing in DB2 Mainframe (z/OS) and DB2 LUW.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services and operational support for Database Management Systems across the enterprise
• Lead DB2 Z/OS and DB2 LUW projects, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance
• Enforce Data Governance Policies and ensure the backup and recoverability of all Databases

Required Qualifications

• BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 7 to 10+ years of experience in the administration of Database Management Systems
• Strong expertise in DB2 Z/OS and DB2 LUW; additional skills in SQL Server and Snowflake are a bonus
• Experience with database performance tuning and disaster recovery testing
• Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows OS, Linux/Unix, and ZOS (Mainframe)
