Senior Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Engineer II - DBRE.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Vitess-managed MySQL datastores, focusing on large-scale environments
• Architect new Vitess-based MySQL database infrastructure and deliver managed data platform solutions
• Create automation tools and establish best practices for development, deployment, and operations

Required Qualifications

• Experience supporting MySQL in production, particularly with Vitess or sharding solutions
• Proven track record in developing and automating platform solutions for engineering teams
• Familiarity with data technologies such as Kafka and Redis
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
• Experience with Linux performance troubleshooting and configuration management tools like Chef & Ansible
