Senior Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Database Engineer to manage and optimize production database systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve query patterns and dataflows in the operational layer
• Build tools to reduce the team's workload
• Provide guidance on database best practices to vertical squads

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in a Database Engineer/DBA role
• Advanced knowledge of Postgres extensions and performance optimization techniques
• Proficiency in Python or another language for database automation
• Knowledge of fundamental AWS building blocks (EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC)
• Experience with RDS and monitoring tools such as Datadog
