Senior Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Database Track Sr. Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Sybase databases in both on-premises and AWS cloud environments
• Automate database functions such as backup, monitoring, and configuration using Unix Shell scripting and Python
• Provide production support and consulting services to internal customers and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Sybase Database Administration, specifically with Sybase ASE and Transact-SQL
• Hands-on experience with Sybase database upgrades and migrations on Linux in AWS environments
• Experience with AutoSys scheduler, replication setup, and high availability (HA) configurations
• Knowledge of role-based access control (RBAC) and encryption implementation
• Familiarity with various database technologies such as Apache Cassandra, DB2, MS SQL, and MongoDB
