Senior Database Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a dynamic Engineering team, the remote Senior Database Engineer will focus on optimizing database architectures, managing production issues, and utilizing cloud technologies to enhance platform performance.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve current database architectures to maintain performance and availability
• Respond to database outages and support the engineering organization in triaging and remediating issues
• Design and implement database solutions that align with business continuity plans and enhance overall resilience

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Database Engineering, preferably with Postgres
• 5+ years of experience in AWS or GCP cloud environments
• 3+ years of programming experience in Python or Go
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and database monitoring
• Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably using Terraform
