Senior Database Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting core rental operations, the full-time Senior Database Engineer will manage and maintain on-premises Oracle and cloud-based database platforms, ensuring stability and performance while collaborating with application development teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement approved DDL and DML changes in production and non-production environments
• Monitor database health, performance, and capacity, acting on alerts as necessary
• Support application teams in troubleshooting database-related issues and assist with release cycles

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience administering databases in a production environment, particularly with Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Experience in both on-prem and cloud-based environments, or strong expertise in one with a willingness to learn the other
• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write and read complex queries
• Experience supporting application development teams with troubleshooting and release coordination
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and reside in the continental U.S
