Senior Database Engineer

Job Summary

To support the production stability of customer applications, the full-time Senior Database Engineer will manage complex incident root cause analysis, develop observability and automation, and mentor engineers while working in a flexible or remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Become a subject matter expert in production database troubleshooting and performance analysis
• Own complex incident root cause analysis across multi-tenant PostgreSQL/MariaDB fleets
• Develop observability and automation solutions to prevent critical issue recurrence

Required qualifications

• 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience supporting or testing large-scale web-based distributed applications
• 5+ years of experience with multiple relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SaaS, PaaS, or Cloud Infrastructure products
• Strong Unix skills, including development and administrative actions
