Senior Database Engineer

Job Summary

To support strategic projects, the remote Senior Database Engineer will perform full-lifecycle database administration, including provisioning MongoDB clusters, tuning replication, and collaborating with developers on database design.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage database analysis, design, and administration functions to meet organizational goals
• Provide 24/7 support and participate in the DBA on-call rotation
• Collaborate with developers on collection, index, and SQL query design while handling backup and recovery processes

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent with 8-10 years of DBA experience
• Deep experience with MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases
• Experience with databases hosted on Linux
• Knowledge of database architecture and high availability solutions
• Familiarity with the Amazon RDS platform
