Senior Database Management Specialist
Job Summary
Providing expert database management support, the remote Senior Database Management Specialist will evaluate and recommend DBMS products, develop and maintain database backup and recovery procedures, and optimize database performance for the Defense Logistics Agency.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate and recommend DBMS products to meet user requirements and ensure data integrity and security
- Develop, implement, and maintain database backup and recovery procedures while monitoring and optimizing database performance
- Assist application teams with database-related tasks, including loading schemas and troubleshooting performance issues
Required qualifications:
- Must possess IT-II security clearance or a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)
- Five years of relevant experience in database management systems
- Ability to run Automated Workload Repository (AWR) reports
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate certification
