Senior Databricks Engineer

Job Summary

To design and optimize large-scale data and analytics platforms, the full-time Senior Databricks Engineer will build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on the Databricks Lakehouse, collaborate with analytics teams, and establish engineering standards for performance and cost efficiency in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake
• Implement medallion data architectures and enforce data quality and governance standards
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate requirements into reliable data products

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience, with 3+ years on Databricks and Apache Spark
• Expert proficiency in Python (PySpark) and advanced SQL
• Deep hands-on experience with Delta Lake and Unity Catalog
• Strong experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and its core data services
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
