Senior Db2 System Programmer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Db2 System Programmer to support their global IBM Db2 for z/OS environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, support, customize, test, implement, and document z/OS Db2 system software and related program products
• Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and stability of DB2 subsystems
• Provide guidance on Db2 data ingestion patterns between mainframe and cloud, including tooling capabilities and proof of concepts

Required Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience as a Db2 System Programmer in a z/OS mainframe environment
• 5+ years of experience with mainframe infrastructure and application modernization initiatives involving Db2 to cloud integration
• SMP/E installation and software maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of REXX, CLIST, ISPF/TSO programming, SQL, JCL, and z/OS Operating System
