Senior DBA Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting application development teams, the full-time Senior DBA Engineer will manage and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring operational stability and efficiency in a fully remote role within the U.S., while collaborating with various departments on database changes and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Implement approved DDL and DML changes in production and non-production environments
• Monitor database health, performance, and capacity, acting on alerts as necessary
• Support application teams in troubleshooting database-related issues and assist with release cycles and maintenance activities

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience administering databases in a production environment, with strong expertise in Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Experience working in both on-prem and cloud-based environments
• Strong SQL skills for writing and reviewing complex queries
• Experience with database user administration and access control practices
• Proficiency in using version control systems like Git or Bitbucket for database changes
