Senior Deep Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Deep Learning Engineer will contribute to the modeling lifecycle, drive flagship modeling threads from definition to production, and mentor mid-level engineers while collaborating with subject-matter experts in football.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the entire modeling lifecycle, including training, testing, and evaluation
• Drive flagship modeling threads from problem definition through evaluation to production
• Mentor mid-level engineers and collaborate with football experts on feature design

Required qualifications

• Proven experience shipping deep-learning models at scale, including transformer and multimodal architectures
• Strong proficiency with PyTorch and PyTorch Lightning, including distributed training and attention variants
• Real football expertise with specific insights on catch probability, EPA limitations, and route trees
• Ability to tackle ambiguous problems and define scoped paths for solutions
• Deep evaluation instincts to assess model effectiveness and stay current with research advancements
