Senior Design Automation Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Design Automation Engineer to join the PhotonForge team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrations between PhotonForge and industry-standard EDA tools for design workflows
• Collaborate with end users to address design challenges in various photonic applications
• Utilize GPU-accelerated multi-physics solvers to create simulation pipelines for fabrication-aware processes

Required Qualifications

• Degree (MS or PhD preferred) in electrical engineering, applied physics, photonics, or a related field
• A few years of industry experience in photonic chip design, EDA tool development, or semiconductor process integration
• Proficient in Python; experience with C++ is a plus
• Familiar with EDA and PIC design tools, including GDSII, DRC, LVS, and PDKs
• Experience with AI tools and a passion for integrating AI features into engineering products
