Senior Design Engineer

Job Summary

Experienced in renewable energy design, the full-time Senior Design Engineer will create and manage engineering deliverables for photovoltaic energy generation systems, supporting projects throughout their life cycle in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering deliverables, including drawings and calculations, for commercial and utility-scale PV projects
• Conduct site assessments and develop energy models to support business development and new product integration
• Maintain project documentation and assist in identifying design risks to facilitate effective decision-making

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Ten years of relevant design experience, preferably in commercial PV design
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certificate
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
• NABCEP certification and experience with PV systems and energy modeling tools
