Senior Design Engineer

Job Summary

To support product development, the remote Senior Design Engineer will split their time between UI/UX design and front-end implementation, owning the design experience and technical realization of products that enhance content creation for educators and students.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with users to identify pain points and propose effective design solutions
• Translate design intent into high-quality, accessible front-end code while maintaining a design system and component library
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on problems and define feasible design solutions

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in product/UX design and front-end engineering, with expertise in Figma and production front-end code (e.g., React, TypeScript)
• Proven track record of delivering pixel-accurate, accessible code from design concepts
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining design systems as code, including accessibility standards
• Strong understanding of web and mobile technologies and experience with user research to inform design decisions
• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance design processes is a plus
