Senior Designer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Designer will lead design initiatives, create user-centered design artifacts, and mentor team members while collaborating with stakeholders to enhance the delivery of digital services for Veterans Affairs.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of design work including sketches, wireframes, and prototypes while navigating ambiguous requirements
• Build relationships with team members and stakeholders to drive improvements in design processes and practices
• Coach and mentor junior designers, providing actionable feedback to support their growth

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of education
• Proficiency in user journey mapping and qualitative data analysis
• Experience with design prototyping and wireframing tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
• Strong skills in designing accessible user experiences and developing content strategies
• Ability to lead human-centered design processes compliant with standards and regulations
