Senior Designer

Job Summary

Focused on creating detailed design plans for medium and high-voltage substations, the full-time Senior Designer will work remotely, reviewing project specifications, developing electrical schematics, and producing technical drawings using CAD software.

Key responsibilities:

• Create detailed design plans for medium and high-voltage substations
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
• Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to produce technical drawings

Required qualifications:

• An Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) in Design and Drafting Technology
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD or Microstation software
• Ten years prior experience preferred in substation design
• Ability to perform civil design drafting in a 3D environment is a plus
• Knowledge of SmallWorld and/or ESRI GIS platforms is a plus
