Senior Designer

Job Summary

Leading the design for the best-selling Who HQ series, the full-time Senior Designer will manage the creation of covers and interiors for 30-40 new titles annually, collaborating with editorial teams and artists in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Art directing and designing covers and interiors for new titles in the Who HQ series
• Collaborating with the Associate Publisher, designers, and editorial staff to ensure design quality
• Hiring and art directing illustrators while maintaining brand guidelines and production schedules

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of design experience in publishing, with a preference for children's publishing
• A portfolio demonstrating skills in illustration, book making, and typography
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Knowledge of pre-press and printing processes is a plus
