Senior Designer, New York

Job Summary

Leading the design process for the Who HQ series, the full-time Senior Designer, New York will be responsible for art directing and producing covers and interiors for approximately 30-40 new titles annually, working collaboratively with various stakeholders in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Art directing and designing covers and interiors for new titles in the Who HQ series
• Collaborating with the Associate Publisher, designers, and editorial staff while managing freelance illustrators
• Maintaining strict adherence to brand guidelines and production schedules, including preparing press-ready files

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of design experience in publishing, preferably in children's publishing
• A portfolio showcasing skills in illustration, book making, and typography
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
• Knowledge of pre-press and printing processes is a plus
