Senior Detection Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Detection Engineer to join their Threat Detection Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, support, and optimize the security data pipeline and SIEM platform for threat detection
• Develop and implement high-fidelity threat detections based on threat intelligence and security telemetry analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive security monitoring and continuous improvement of detection capabilities

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2+ years in threat detection engineering
• Experience with security data pipelines and SIEM platforms, including configuration via Infrastructure-as-Code
• Proficiency in developing threat detections in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Hands-on experience with detection rule languages and query development
• Experience with scripting/programming for security tooling and automation
