Senior Developer Technology Engineer

Job Summary

Researching and developing techniques to GPU-accelerate high-performance database and ETL applications, the full-time Senior Developer Technology Engineer will collaborate with technical experts to optimize complex data-intensive workloads and influence the design of next-generation hardware architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop methods to enhance performance of high-performance databases and ETL applications using GPU acceleration
• Conduct in-depth analysis and optimization of data-intensive workloads in collaboration with industry and academic experts
• Influence the design of future hardware architectures and programming models through collaboration with various teams at NVIDIA

Required qualifications

• A Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related computationally focused science degree (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant work or research experience
• Programming fluency in C/C++ with a strong understanding of algorithms and software design
• Hands-on experience with low-level parallel programming (e.g., CUDA, OpenACC, OpenMP, MPI, pthreads, TBB)
• In-depth expertise in CPU/GPU architecture fundamentals, particularly the memory subsystem
