Senior Development Assurance Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr Development Assurance Engineer, career pathing to a Designated Engineering Representative (DER).

Key Responsibilities

• Provides technical advice on compliance issues related to DO-178C and associated technical supplements
• Ensures adherence to plans and standards through surveillance and participation in peer review activities
• Maintains compliance records and represents the software engineering team in front of the FAA as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or similar STEM field and 10+ years of related experience
• Practitioner-level knowledge of DO-178C with hands-on experience applying DO-331 for model-based development
• Experience with DO-254 for custom micro-coded devices and Circuit Card Assembly
• Hands-on experience with object-oriented software development
• Strong work ethic and goal-focused with the ability to work independently
