Senior Development Director

Job Summary

To develop and manage multi-year fundraising strategies, the full-time Senior Associate Director of Development will cultivate relationships with donors, implement solicitation plans for various funding sources, and ensure collaborative efforts within the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for cultivating and soliciting gifts from corporate, foundation, and individual donors
• Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of new and current donors, focusing on major and planned gifts
• Ensure collaboration across teams and track measures of success for the North American Policy & Government Relations and Climate Mitigation Program

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience
• Proven experience in asking for and closing six and seven-figure gifts, including planned gifts
• Experience in building and maintaining long-term relationships with major donors and corporations
• Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices, particularly in capital campaigns and major gifts
• Experience or training in current trends in charitable giving
