Senior Development Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Development Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms for nonlinear finite element analysis
• Perform design, implementation, system integration, documentation, and testing for nonlinear product lines (Marc, Nastran, Dytran)
• Lead projects from inception through delivery and provide mentorship to junior developers

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
• 12-18 years of work experience with a Master's or 10-16 years with a PhD, including post-doctoral research
• Experience with finite element code development and implementation
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Fortran, C, C++, and Python
• Familiarity with commercial finite element codes like LS-Dyna, Ansys, and Nastran
