Senior Device Engineer

Job Summary

To support device automation engineering efforts, the full-time Senior Device Engineer will design and develop production software for identifying and interacting with network-connected devices, while working remotely within a mission-driven team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production software for identifying, fingerprinting, and interacting with network-connected devices across various endpoints
• Build and maintain features within shared frameworks and services that support device functionality, from design through testing and maintenance
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and security teams to translate field needs into engineering outcomes

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with a track record of shipping production systems
• Strong expertise in Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience in Go valued
• Proficient in network protocol analysis and interpreting traffic captures
• Solid command of Unix/Linux environments and experience with Docker
• Experience applying cybersecurity best practices, including secure coding and data protection
