Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

To support the infrastructure of LGBTQ+ mobile dating apps, the full-time Senior DevOps Engineer will manage and innovate cloud-based API services using Ruby and AWS, working remotely across North America, South America, and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and modernize backend systems that handle over 350 million web server requests daily
• Develop and implement a modern API application using Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and/or Sinatra
• Collaborate with a distributed team through pair programming and mentoring

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in a DevOps role (AWS or equivalent)
• Senior-level expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, Linux, and AWS
• Experience with major programming languages such as Java, Ruby, Python, or Go
• Strong understanding of design and architectural patterns
